Akanksha is a result oriented, strategic, and an inspirational leader with a demonstrated track record of translating vision into reality. She is a change agent who is not afraid of challenges and collaborates to drive results. Akanksha has a strong background in HR, Corporate Strategy, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Strategic Partnerships and Global Innovation. Akanksha also has a vast experience in leading high priority transformation projects, mergers and acquisition activities, and change management programs.
After joining Rogers in 2014, Akanksha has had the opportunity to grow in several areas of the business. She is currently the Head of Talent Acquisition in Rogers where she is leading the company wide talent strategy, strategic sourcing, talent attraction plans and the executive hiring process. Her goal is to find new and innovative ways to attract and hire diverse Canadian and Global top talent. Akanksha also leads the Campus strategy for Rogers and takes pride in bringing the best and the brightest new grads into the organization.
Akanksha moved to Canada in 2009 from Scotland where she did her MBA from the Strathclyde Business School and held several roles in the Banking and Financial Industry. Outside of work, she spends her time with friends, family, and the community. Akanksha is passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion and spends her time helping the newcomers to Canada, supporting the marginalized groups and advancing the women growth agenda. She volunteers with TRIEC (Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council) and ACCES Employment where she mentors and coaches new immigrants and helps develop diverse workforce in Canada. Akanksha is also an active member of Rogers Women Network and Rogers Women of Color where she supports women at all levels and helps them with their career goals.
